Oh Christmas Tree!

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree! My kids love that song and sing it all the time while they dance around our new Christmas tree. Actually they only know the chorus but it is still cute! This past week we took our second annual trip to the Christmas tree farm. It was a very cold day but we bundled up and headed out before the sun set. Last year we got to feed the goats and that is all that Paxton and Lorelei could talk about. I think they forgot we were going to get a tree! Anyway, when we got there Paxton asked the man for some bread and we put Lorelei in the wagon and headed out to feed the goats first. Those goats were crazy! They came running (luckily they were behind a fence) towards us. I am not sure who was more excited, my kids or the goats?!! So we feed the hungry goats and both of them got a real kick out of that.

After some goat feeding fun we headed up the hill to look for a Christmas tree. We let Paxton run and we pulled Lorelei in the wagon. And let me tell you, Paxton ran and ran and ran! It was a huge open space and he was in heaven. I think now we need a huge open field too in our backyard for a certain young man to get his wiggles, giggles and sillies out in everyday! Man, he ate good and slept good that night!

Ok back to the tree hunting. We looked around at the trees but like last year we decided we like the Douglas fur pre cut trees at the front of the farm so we headed back there to pick a tree. It took us forever to decide because you know, it had to be a certain price for someone to agree to buy it! But alas we found the perfect tree which they loaded on top our minivan and we took home and decorated that evening. It looks just lovely of course!

We have even got the kids '08 ornaments up. They are of course Disney related. Lorelei chose Cinderella and Paxton has Buzz Lightyear. The kids also have their own Christmas tree on the sun porch. This tree has the little things they have made the past few years along with the colored light they adore so much.

I didn't get a ton of pictures this year because we had not erased our camera from Thanksgiving yet but I managed a few. Enjoy!

Showing us his muscles!

Run free little man!
