Homecoming Court

This past weekend Paxton was chosen to be the red carpet bearer during Homecoming. Since he attends a K-12 school they needed a little dude and cute girlie to represent the little folks. So Paxton was absolutely adorable, and he stole the show. No really, he actually stole the show. Here is a recap of the night. Paxton and his sweet little escort Cameron, practiced on the field that morning with all the Homecoming court. You know, representatives from each grade and then the actual court for the seniors. Everything went great and he did what he was supposed to do. Well when we got there that evening, they told him he would be pulling the red carpet out for the King and Queen to walk on. I got a little nervous about that since he had not practiced at all but I thought it wouldn't be a big deal. So Paxton and Cameron were last to walk on the field before the announcing of the king and queen. Well no one told my little perfectionist to simply drop the carpet when he got to the end and go stand by Cameron. Well if you know Paxton, you know that he couldn't simply drop it if it was wrinkly. So Paxton is out there trying to straighten this red carpet, that cannot actually be perfectly straightened anyway. Josh and I are standing on the sidelines, thinking drop it Paxton, drop it! And then just as the announcement is made of who will be king and queen, Paxton finally drops the red carpet and LEAPS over it(mind you this is right smack down in the very front and middle of the set up)! Oh my! Many, ok most people told me they missed the announcement because they were too busy watching my son leap across the field.

Anyway, other than that, he really did a great job. He was adorable and so was the little cutie he escorted. It was a fun night for us all but we were pooped after that was over (and so was my mom who was wrestling Lorelei in the stands!) Oh and I am not done with my Disney posts, there are just so many pictures that I have been putting if off, but at my husbands insistence I will get back to it!

Paxton and Max the Monkey. Max is his classes traveling friend and every weekend someone gets to take him home and write in his journal. Paxton got a good weekend to take him around places.

I looked over and little miss thang had marched herself right over to the cheerleaders and was doing a cheer for them! Such a little diva!
Paxton and his best bud Beckham hanging out by the Kindergarten float before the parade
Lorelei and Paxton talking to Grandmama who was up in the stands.
Ready for the red carpet!

Paxton and Cameron

Paxton and Cameron, aren't they cuties?
Grandaddy and Paxton looking so handsome!

Getting bored before they started, Paxton and Cameron starring at the stars.
Cute little red carpet bearers.

"Drop it Paxton, drop it!" This is right before Cameron let it go and stood off to the side while Paxton tried to fix the carpet.
