Grandma's 90th!

This weekend we made the trek out to Arkansas to help celebrate Josh's Grandma's 90th birthday. Paxton and Lorelei were so excited to get to go see Nana and Papa and their aunt, uncles, and cousins! We decided to drive overnight so the kids would sleep the whole way there. But since Miss Lorelei has decided to recently take up the habit of thumb sucking, she could not keep her thumb in her mouth while sitting upright, therefore she apparently could not sleep. So instead Lorelei decided that from about 8:30- 11:00 that she would sing every song and verse of all the songs she has ever heard in her life. Ha! Yeah, we weren't laughing then because poor Paxton could not go to sleep with her singing and carrying on. Anyway, when we stopped in Memphis, Josh decided to recline her car seat and after that she could keep her thumb in her mouth and slept the rest of the way!

Grandma's celebration was on Saturday and we dressed Lorelei and her first cousins all in little tutu's and tiaras, they looked adorable! Paxton had fun playing and running around with his cousins Dylan and Jaden, while Lorelei had fun playing with Riley all weekend- soon Emily will be keeping up with the big kids too! I think Grandma had a great time seeing everybody and her sisters and brother too. It was a surprise party and Nana had to really talk Grandma into getting out because she had made up her mind that she was NOT going out that day! Grandma is too funny!

Anyway, we had a great weekend even though the kids were sleep deprived (and their actions and attitude showed it too). But boy did Paxton and Lorelei have a blast playing with Bo (Nana' dog) wrestling with Uncle Jon, riding Papa's tractor, going to Pizza Time (think Chuck E Cheese on steroids!-yes I wanted to lose my mind after that place!), playing with their cousins and just hanging out with family that we don't get to see too often! So it was a good but tiring weekend, glad we could make it though! Here are some pics we took from the weekend.

Riley and Lorelei played so well together. I found them laying in this toddler bed playing- too cute!
