Pax Pics!

Well we finally got around to getting Paxton's 4 year old professional pictures done today. The real reason for delay is that we didn't want pictures with his cast on. So yes folks that's right, the cast is off, again! He does have the wee walker, which is a big boot just as big as the cast, but it is removable for sleep, baths and swimming! Anyway, Paxton did awesome at the photo shoot, so we got some great pictures. They really show off his personality.
Paxton is about 40 inches tall and a little over 35 pounds. (His officialy check up is this week.) I think that puts him around the 50th percentile for both. Anyway, everyone tells us Paxton is a character and boy do we know it and love it! He is so full of personality and has an exuberance for life! He loves to wrestle with his daddy, play sword fights with anyone, box, play t-ball, swim (again finally), read and write and he still loves to cuddle! Paxton is a pretty good eater and a good sleeper too. Thankfully he started taking naps again when school began. He seems to really like school. This week he got a new teacher but we are really excited about her. She has 10 years of experience as a pre-k teacher and is implementing much of the Montessori approach in his classroom. I think she is really going to challenge Paxton academically and help him along socially as well.

As I mentioned Paxton is a great reader and writer. He started reading a couple of months after he turned 3 and really this summer he has blossomed into a great reader! He likes to write, but he is a perfectionist and gets frustrated when he messes up a letter, but we are working on that. He also loves puzzles and challenge work. He got this great game for his birthday called Castle something? It gives you a picture of this castle and you have to recreate it using the different pieces from the castle. It's from level 1-100, and I think Paxton has gotten to a 22 so far. He also loves his Leapster and the 5 games with as well.

We just love our little, big man and cannot believe has fast time has flown by in the past four years. Our prayer for Paxton is that he will continue to grow up in wisdom and in favor with God and man. We want Paxton to use his strong personality and love of "all things exciting" to the glory of God and to always love, honor, worship and serve our Lord! We love you Pax!

Adorably cute. How in the world did you chose which ones to order? I had no idea Paxton could read. That is so cool. I wish Spence could. He really wants to learn but I have no clue how to teach him. His grandparents got him Hooked on Phonics for his birthday but we can't get the cdrom to work on our imac. Any suggestions for me??
