Anyway, we went to the Animal Kingdom that first day and headed straight for the Kilimanjaro Safari, along with everybody else that was there! Actually it wasn't horribly crowded the whole time we were there. Definitely lots of people, but they seemed to be spread out. The safari was great and the kids got to see lots of animals. After the safari we got to meet Pocahontas. Lorelei was so excited to see her because she was one of the two Princesses we didn't get to meet last time. She pretended to be holding her in her hand the rest of the day. That girl has some imagination! Oh and I cannot forget the best part of the day when one of the Disney entertainers came up to Lorelei and Paxton with his guitar and made up a song about them right there on the spot. He had a microphone and everything and he did such a great job. I was amazed at how well his song came together about it being Lorelei's birthday and how Paxton was her cool big brother. And yes we did get it on video but I do not know how to download our video camera clips on here. But trust me, it was precious!
We continued on to fabulous Lion King show. A must see in my opinion if you are ever at Disney. Truly a wonderful and entertaining show! We of course had to meet and greet with Minnie (Mickey's line was just a little too long for this mama!). Other attractions that we did were the Dinosaurs ride. Paxton loves this ride! I will not go on it again, it is a very intense and jerky ride, but hey, he loves the thrill! We did most of the attractions there and were able to finish up after the parade around 5:00.
Day 2 was spent at the Magic Kingdom. The kids were already pretty tired from the past 2 days but we pushed on. We hit all the Fantasyland rides first (It's a Small World, Dumbo, Tea Cups, Snow White, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, etc.) and then we headed off to the Buzz Lightyear
ride, one of Paxton 's favorites. After a quick lunch we stood in line to meet the Princesses and this year a new thing at Disney is to meet the Fairies. If you have seen the movie TINK, these are the fairies you get to meet. Although we have seen the movie a couple of times, I think the kids only really knew Tinkerbell and were excited to see her!
Oh, I could go on and on. Paxton's favorite rides of course involve anything moving fast and fearless and Lorelei just loves meeting the characters and the gentler rides. I already blogged about our afternoon at the BBB and Cinderella's Royal Table. We finished the night with two really tired children and a parade. We just couldn't hang on until the 10:00 fireworks show, although Paxton really wanted to! He held on till about 9:30 and fell asleep in my arms. This mama and daddy were pooped too so maybe next time we will make it to the fireworks show! Wow, if you made it through all that, good for you! Enjoy the pics!
Who's ready for a wild safari ride?
We finally meet Pocahontas!
Lorelei was pouting because a car is a "boy" thing and she did not want her picture in front of it!
Mt. Everest Roller Coaster. Paxton is just not quite tall enough to ride this one yet. But being how great Disney was, after they measured him they gave him a fast pass first year rider card that allows him to come back when he is tall enough and go to the front of the line!
One of the other Fairies? and my cuties!
