Seeing the Sights

We were pleasantly surprised with the fun things we found to do around Nashville. After visiting the museum on Friday headed to downtown Nashville to eat the Old Spaghetti Factory. Paxton is a big fan of spaghetti (just plain though) and we thought we would take him there for some yummy food. The ambiance was great and the food was ok but the kids had fun and we enjoyed being downtown. After eating we went to the Parthenon. Josh and I had both visited it when we were younger and wanted to go back and see it again since we have seen the real one in Athens, Greece. I must say it was still really cool to see it in Nashville and the kids loved running up and down the steps and playing in the park area.

On Saturday we headed over to the Opryland hotel, another place Josh and I have both been to, a long time ago. It is so huge! The kids were exhausted just walking around it. It was quite beautiful inside and I would love to go back there sometime and actually stay there for a weekend. We went to Opry Mill Mall after touring the hotel for some fun shopping. I always enjoy a good mall, especially one that has stores that I don't get to much down here! Of course the kids just LOVED that. After shopping, we went to Aquarium restaurant in the mall. We were going to go to the Rainforest Cafe there but since we will be eating there at Disney this fall we decided to try the Aquarium. What a great restaurant! The kids loved eating and watching all the fish, sharks and other sea life. We also had some yummy food. It was quite the dinning experience, definitely a must if you are visiting the Nashville area. So here are the pictures from our sight seeing, don't worry I will actually get to the real reason we were in Nashville, the wedding. But not until next time, I have kiddos waking up from their rest time for now.

Paxton and his plain spaghetti.

Me at the Parthenon. I was just playing around with the new camera and l loved that I can change the color on my pics.

The Parthenon

Daddy was getting into the whole photography thing, LOVE this picture!

Peek a boo!

The kids were being so silly here!
They kept chanting some weird thing about cheese and babies, who knows?

In the Opryland Hotel

Another favorite picture of mine.

Paxton walked all the way around this gigantic hotel! Of course Lorelei had to be carried the whole way or we might still be there waiting on her to catch up!

Mr. Shark outside the Aquarium restaurant's

The kids were fascinated with this diver inside the tank.
The view from our table.

You know us, we love our dessert and we couldn't resist this yummy Key Lime Pie. We were thinking of seeing Nichele soon!
The kids got this really cool Rice Krispie shark treat that they could paint, decorate and eat. They had lots of cool desserts like this to choose from.

I HATE HATE it that we couldn't see you guys. We had looked so forward to hosting you and doing all these fun outings with you. Isn't the aquarium restaurant fun? We took our niece and nephew there for supper last night. So you guys need to plan another nashville trip and we can do a few outings you weren't able to do. Or we can just hang out and let the kids play. I was so sad saturday bc i had looked forward to seeing you guys for so long.
