A Belated Father's Day

Ok, so we are not really celebrating Father's Day this late but my blog is, so bare with me ( I have had company for the past 3 days- more on that later). I want to say Happy Late Fathers' Day to Josh, the best daddy my two kiddos could have. He is loving, kind, giving, fun, and just LOVES his children and they LOVE their Daddy!! He is the fun guy around here. He wrestles, goes on hikes, brings little creatures into my home for my children to learn and explore, gives baths, helps with dinner, and on it could go. He works hard for his family and wants to provide the best for his kids because of his deep love for them. And most of all, he sets a Christian example for his children and shows them in his daily walk with God, which I am so thankful for. So Josh, on this late Father's Day we want to say "We Love You DADDY!!!"

No, Paxton is not asleep, just making faces for the camera.

I also want to say a belated Happy Father's Day to my dad and the kids Grandaddy. Grandaddy is fun fellow too! He is always making up fun games to play with the kids (hunter) and making up silly songs for them too. My dad has played a huge role in making me who I am today and I hope he continues to play a huge role in not only my life but my kids and my husband. The professional pictures below were apart of my dad and mom's mother's day and father's day gifts. I love how they turned out!

Oh, the fun, oh the drama!

Just wanted to share some funny stories from this week.

-I was driving with Paxton in the car and I said something (don't remember what) and he said, "Mama, I'll be John Brown if you say that again! . . . And I will never be Paxton ever again!"

-We were getting ready to go to the pool and I was asking Lorelei which swimsuit she wanted to wear. Of course, she said Little Mermaid (always her choice) and I said "No, not this time, let's give the mermaid a break. How about the cherries swimsuit?"
Lorelei's says back, "No mama, I don't like the cherries swimsuit anymore!! I don't wear it ever again!" Ok, when did she get so opinionated?

Two funnies from our week- pics to come later.

Cradle Roll Graduation

Yes, another milestone for my princess has come. Today at church, Lorelei got her little pink Bible with her name on it. This is a tradition at my church that dates back to pre-me time! Yes, we have the picture of little Kim getting her two year old Bible too. I was so excited for Lorelei to be getting her Bible today! I have been telling her about it all week- you are going to go up on stage and get a pink Bible when they call your name, etc. She has been pretty excited because she has been telling people about it. She did a great job, she was very last after a long list of kids. She waited patiently, or as patiently as any two year old can. They called her name and she walked up there, got her little Bible, and started back. Then she noticed herself on the big TV at the front and she was quite intrigued. She also wanted everyone to see her freshly painted pink toenails! Anyway, I am so proud of my little girl. I hope that this Bible will be the first of many well read Bibles in her lifetime. I pray that she will let the word of God guide her life and that she will commit to following Jesus all of her days!

Lorelei and Wade.

I totally love this picture, I just hate that Lorelei's eyes are closed! Had to include it though!

Getting her Bible from Ms. Suzanne. Ms. Suzanne was Lorelei's teacher when she was under 1. She gives all the Bibles out every year.

Look at me! I got my pink Bible!

Lorelei and some of her fellow graduates. We were disappointed that Lorelei's good friend Katie didn't get to graduate with us! The two year old class is way overloaded so Katie is being held back since her birthday is later!

Lorelei and Ms. Louann. This was Lorelei's teacher from age 1 till now. They love each other!! She called Lorelei her assistant. She told me if I ever gave Lorelei away that she wanted her. Ok, Louann, you have first dibs!

Take me out to the ballgame!

Last night we got to go to a Braves Game. Harding was having a night at the ballgame, so we signed up and decided to go. I was really dreading having to be out that late with the kids because they have been out to almost 10 o'clock every night this week due to Family Bible Week at our church. We have been living in Crankyville Central around here because of the late nights. Anyway, this game just happened to fall right after FBW so we went ahead with it. When we got to will call at the game, Harding was apparently a little unorganized this year and didn't expect the more than 500 people that signed up. Somehow, our names and credit card info, got lost in the shuffle and the lady at will call said we had no tickets under our name. So Josh politely asked if she had any extra and she handed us some really awesome tickets (for free since Harding never charged our card!). Our tickets were right behind home plate, we weren't with the group but that was ok with us!
The kids did a great job at the game and really enjoyed themselves. Lorelei sat nicely in her chair munching on animal crackers, goldfish, Cracker Jacks, and Peanut M&M's. Paxton couldn't sit still but he was really good and got into the game and the fun things with it. He got a new visor and a big foam finger too! We were so pleased how they did. We did leave early, before the meltdowns began. It was a great night at the ball park and hopefully we can do it again soon!

Mmmmm... Nothing like some frozen lemonade on a hot night at the ballgame!

I love this picture! It is such a great little boy shot!

Chugging the water. Yes, this equalled at least 5 trips to the potty in one hour!

We were trying to get a picture of the Turner Field words- it's not just a random shot of the kids in the parking lot!

A little fun in the Sun!

This weekend we had a little fun in the sun. We took the kids to The Big Splash, which are some fountains near us. Last year both the kids loved it so we thought we would try again. It took Lorelei a while to warm up to it, (right now she is very afraid of the pool) but by the end she was running through it just like her big brother. Friday night, Josh took the kids to the pool but Lorelei refused to get in. However Paxton swam all over the pool, he is doing so well with this swimming thing. So here are some pics of the kiddos in their swim gear and at the fountains.

Picnicking in the park with some heart shaped PB&J's. We must have heart or tree shaped sandwiches whenever we go out!

Dare I go in the BIG fountain? Paxton is contemplating if he really wants to do it or not!

Making the 100th trip to the bathroom with little Miss Priss. Now that we are potty trained, Lorelei has to visit EVERY public restroom at least a hundred times while we are out. I included this picture because this is what lucky me gets to do every time we go anywhere! And seriously, I mean at least 100 times!

100th post!

Well this is my 100th post since I started this blog last July. I love being able to post pictures and stories of my kiddos so that not only I, but others can watch and enjoy my kids growing up. No big "theme" today though. Just some random pictures of the kids over the last week. Lorelei is getting to be a big girl now. She doesn't use her paci anymore (we took them away cold turkey the day after she turned two), she is potty trained (for the most part except night), and we just ordered her a "big girl" bedroom set last night. It won't be in for a few weeks but we think she is ready- we'll see! She is also FINALLY cutting some more teeth. Poor thing only has like 14 teeth and Paxton had 20 by the time he was 2. Anywhoo, it has been tough with the whole teething this past week but I think two more have finally broken through! Lorelei is everything girl! Below are pics of her with her babies. She was feeding them this morning in the rocking chair. She is such a Princess!

Paxton continues to do swim class everyday and is really loving it and doing great. He is my little shark man! Here are some pics of the kids!
