Vacation

Well, we just got back from a week at Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. My parents went with us because Josh had to golf, oh, I mean work during the week for a convention. We all had a great time. The first day we drove down to Orlando and visited the Magic Kingdom. It was an experience to say the least. Once we actually got to ride the rides, the kids loved it, but the 90 minute wait times (with no strollers allowed in lines) were a bit much for Paxton and Lorelei. Paxton did get to ride his first roller coaster with his daddy and he loved it! We went on Small World, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Jungle Cruise and a couple of others. We also got to meet Mickey, which they both loved!! Lorelei did ok on the rides but she hated the tram in and out of the parking lot. She screamed the whole way there and back. I think Josh really wondered if this was "the happiest place on earth." It was an exhausting day but the kids did get some cute Mickey Mouse ears out of it. Paxton can also now sing the M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E song very well.

After our exciting day at Disney World, we spent the rest of the week relaxing at our villa and hanging out in the kiddie pool. Lorelei's favorite part was to get in and out of the pool a hundred times, giving me and my dad a run for our money. Paxton loved playing with his pool toys and using his floaties to "swim" around the pool. The beach was, well, sandy, to say the least. I believe every child should have the experience of playing in the sand, throwing sand and of course Lorelei's favorite, eating the sand. Paxton enjoyed throwing sand at granddaddy and covering his legs with sand. We really did have a great week. Oh and I forgot to mention, if you are ever in St. Augustine, you must visit the Alligator Farm. I have no pictures to show for it (that would be me slacking off again) but it was the coolest thing and both the adults and kids loved it.
